Santurce Apartments

Senior's LIHTC

The 180-unit apartment building, consisting of one-bedroom units, represents a planned residential development that envisions a symbiotic relationship between modern city living and community integration. Nestled within the urban fabric, the design of this building not only seeks to rejuvenate the surrounding area and seamlessly assimilate into the existing urban fabric. Central to its design philosophy are the principles of accessibility, social cohesion, and environmental sustainability.

By orienting the housing units around communal open spaces and inviting courtyards, the project seeks to create a refuge from the surrounding urban environment, offering a  retreat that fosters community engagement.

At the core of the design strategy is the strategic placement of the building within the urban landscape, emphasizing proximity to essential services and amenities to create a thriving residential environment.

A place of refuge with astonishing views of historic Santurce.
