YSA Process

Santa Rosa LifeCare Hilltop

Team Work

We are team players and believe that a truly successful project results only from intense interaction and the challenge of ideas. Our projects represent the input and knowledge of the client, architectural team, consultant team, brokers, and regulatory agencies. We rely on an early and continuous exchange of information between all team members so that informed decisions can be made early to avoid confusion and keep projects on schedule.

Cost Control

We fully understand the importance of meeting a budget and work aggressively toward achieving this objective from the inception of the project through to its completion. In-place cost control systems allow us to see “warning lights” early in the design process. YSA will give careful consideration to the initial cost of building systems and materials and the ongoing operation and maintenance cost of those elements.

The actual cost of a project doesn’t end when you move in, and neither does the design process. Change is inevitable. Our emphasis is to work with you to produce a plan that will be responsive and flexible enough to grow with you.

Time Management

We are highly conscious of the importance of adhering to construction schedules and creating designs that are easily built with the materials and trades locally available. We provide you with immediate options for both cost and time-saving strategies with software and other techniques. As the project progresses through the design stages and into the construction document phase, design and construction schedules are developed in increasing levels of detail. During the scheduling phase this systematic attention to detail  has given YSA a recognized reputation for on-time delivery of services and products.

Quality

The excellence of any YSA project is drawn from a comprehensive definition of quality. Quality begins with evaluating the original concept as measured against clients’ needs and expectations. Equally important are reviews of the quality of execution, which are based on rigorous standards of detailing, documentation, and follow-through. Ideally, we will exceed our clients’ programmatic needs, surpass their schedule and budget expectations, and identify and deliver the intangible aesthetic qualities that they desire in their projects.

The goal of our quality management is to increase the value of our service to our clients.  To measure the value of our service, we send simple quarterly report cards to clients to elicit feedback and conduct post-occupancy evaluations one year after project completion. We believe that we will only understand what is important to you by educating ourselves on your needs and by including you in the design process.
