The 37 single-family homes are made-up of prefabricated modules set into a heavy timber post and beam structure. Each cabaña contains a pair of bedrooms that share a party wall. The supporting structure is placed onto concrete piles, permitting the building to float above the existing topography. A skirt is applied to “connect” the building to the grade. The modular design and cabaña design gives the developer the flexibility to build three or five-bedroom homes without altering the basic modular unit.
This strategy minimizes any, otherwise necessary, cut and fill. All the homes are placed downhill from the access road further minimizing cut.
The main house includes one bedroom with an office space, a dining room, living/family room, kitchen and utility room that includes a large pantry and washer and dryer.
