The Downtown Streetscape Plan is the guiding document for the development for the Downtown Pedestrian Network called for in the Downtown Area Plan.
Selected to assist in the development of design guidelines for the downtown pedestrian street YSA established a street Typology, General Streetscape Guidelines, and Street Element Codes. Elements include Art, banners, benches, bike racks, bollards, flower stands, kiosks, news racks, construction barriers, sidewalk: cafes, displays, toilets, widening, street closures, streetlights, trash cans, trees, plantings, and vendors. At least one YSA principal participated as design architect, supervising architect and/or senior designer while associated with the architect-of-record for this project.
