Santa Rosa, California (1994)
Santa Rosa Life Care community, a 25 bed skilled nursing facility (SNF), and a 360 unit, aging in place, residential development located in the wine country north of San Francisco offers views to the east and west. Situated adjacent to the town center the health maintenance facility fills a variety of missions including an outpatient clinic, assisted living accommodations, and inpatient medical facilities.
The site is dominated by large clusters old broad oaks, its steep west slope facing a state forest. A tree-lined road winds through the site, connecting three distinct residential neighborhoods, and a town center with entertainment, educational, recreational and health facilities and sheltered privacy while advancing a sense of community. At least one YSA principal participated as design architect, supervising architect and/or senior designer while associated with the architect-of-record for this project.
